TOURNAMENT HISTORY

"THE KATHLEEN P. BRUHN MEMORIAL LEADERSHIP OPEN" was introduced by the Board of Directors of Camp Fire to support its youth development programs in Alabama. Kathleen P. Bruhn was Executive Director of Camp Fire Alabama for over twenty five years. The naming of this event after Kathleen P. Bruhn pays homage to her life and service
(as she was the personification of "Leadership).
                     
                   

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

8:30 a.m.:  Player registration at bag drop

                   Practice range and practice putting green open

                   Breakfast in main dining room at the Legacy Clubhouse

9:45 a.m.:  Welcome, announcements, putt-off competition and rules presentation at golf carts

10:00 a.m.:Tee time (shotgun start)

                   Texas Scramble Format

                  *Beverages and snacks available on course

3:30 p.m.    Reception in main dining room at the Legacy Clubhouse

                   Door prizes

                   Sponsor Recognition

                   Awards presentation:

          •     Closest to the pin (2 opportunities)
          •     Longest Drive
          •     Longest Putt
          •     First place team
          •     Second place team
          •     Sixth place team
          •     Last place team

                   Presentation of the Kathleen Peacock Bruhn Memorial Leadership Award Scholarship

Tournament proceeds will help ensure more youth have access to safe and enriching in-school programs, chances to attend summer camp, and opportunities to find their spark, lift their voice, and discover who they are.
