“You can’t punch keys on a cell phone when you’re in a canoe and the river is running high. You can’t stare at a computer screen when you’re aiming a bow and arrow. There is still freedom and self-discovery to be found between the patches of sun and shade in the woods, and that’s likely something that will never change.” Cherri Ellis, Charter Media | ||||||||||
About Camp Fletcher Since 1926, Camp Fletcher has been a place for young people to challenge themselves, discover the natural environment and develop new skills. Participants can experience the history as well as the beauty of the natural world around them in a safe and fun environment. What makes us different? Day Camp Program! Camp Fletcher's Day Camp program gives youth in 1st - 9th grade the opportunity to make new friends, try all kinds of fun activities, and spend a consistent amount of time outdoors each day in a safe and secure environment. Each week includes a variety of scheduled and group planned activities – no two weeks are the same! Campers spend their days canoeing, playing sports & games, fishing, singing, making crafts, hiking the trails, working together, swimming, trying new things, participating in target sports (4th grade +), and so much more! Campers are divided into small groups of youth of similar ages and led by trained camp counselors, hand-selected for their leadership skills and ability to take care of youth. Learn More. ACA Accredited Camp Fletcher is accredited by the American Camping Association, meeting high standards in health, safety, and program quality. |
