              Student Volunteers
Are you a college student? Do you need observation, service learning, or research hours? If so,
Camp Fire needs you!!

We rely on our AMAZING volunteers to make our programs happen!  We're actively recruiting college students to assist with delivery of select in-school programs for children and youth. Programs are offered in-schools to local          K - 12th grade students through partnerships with educators and counselors in Birmingham City, Bessemer City, Jefferson County, and Shelby County School Systems.

Our Programs include:

Mentoring - Small groups led by trained college students meet weekly to learn and practice healthy behaviors and relationship skills.

Self Reliance - Promotes responsibility and respect for self and others.

Career Prep - Preparing 5th - 12th grade youth for the future workforce.

What's the time commitment? - No more than two (2) hours per week; this includes classroom instruction and ongoing training sessions. *Additional opportunities are available for students who wish to volunteer more than two (2) hours per week.
